Jeanette Betancourt, Ed. D. Senior Vice President for U.S. Social Impact Sesame Workshop

Dr. Betancourt is the Senior Vice President for U.S. Social Impact at Sesame Workshop, the global impact nonprofit organization with a mission to help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger and kinder. She leads the development and implementation of Sesame Street’s philanthropically supported social impact initiatives meeting the needs of children and families, especially those most marginalized. These research-based initiatives impact children’s social, emotional and physical well-being, and early learning and address the long-term effects of trauma, systemic racism, and inequities. She is a bilingual speech and language pathologist, specialist in special education, and has facilitated the development of charter schools.
