Conference Subsidies
We are pleased to offer a limited number of subsidies to attend CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2025 conference!
CCSA’s conference subsidy program supports the inclusion of:
- Individuals with lived and living experience with substance use disorder,
- Family members and friends affected by substance use disorder and
- Professionals in the field of substance use health.
Who Is Eligible to Apply for a Conference Subsidy?
Conference Presenters
Anyone applying to deliver a presentation (10 or 20 minutes long), a panel (60 minutes long) or an interactive learning workshop (90 minutes long) on research, programs or policies related to substance use at the conference is eligible to apply for a subsidy.
Preference is given to potential conference presenters in the substance use health field or individuals with lived and living experience with substance use who have either:
- Submitted an abstract to present on research, programs or policies related to substance use at the conference; or
- Submitted an abstract to present about their personal experience with substance use at the conference.
Conference Participants
People with lived and living experience with substance use, including family members and friends affected by substance use, are welcome to apply for a subsidy to attend the conference.
Important Note
CCSA will award no more than one subsidy per applicant. Subsidies cannot be transferred to another individual or given to the organization an individual is affiliated with.
Application Deadline
Apply for a conference subsidy by Monday, January 27, 2025.
How to Apply for a Conference Subsidy
You can submit your subsidy application using the CCSA abstract portal.
Confirming Acceptance of Conference Subsidy
Successful applicants will be notified of their subsidy by email, with an acceptance letter detailing next steps. Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of their subsidy by providing their relevant details to CCSA who will register them.
