CCSA’s Issues of Substance Conference

Registration Policy

All Registrants (with the exception of Exhibit Staff only) are entitled to:

  • Attend all sessions 
  • Three breakfasts, two lunches and all break refreshments


Exhibit Staff (to a maximum of two per booth) are only entitled to access the exhibit area, including any breakfasts and breaks that take place in the exhibit area. Access to the full conference event can be purchased with an upgrade fee of $500.

All Exhibit Staff must complete the online registration process. 

Complimentary Registrations 

All attendees must complete the online registration process with an assigned discount code.

Lived or Living Experience Participants

Registrants who self-identify as having lived or living experience will be eligible for a 10% discount on the registration fee for CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2019 conference. This discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or subsidy awards.


To qualify for the student rate, students must provide proof of full-time registration as an undergraduate, masters or doctoral student at a Canadian post-secondary institution in a program related to substance use, addiction or behavioural addictions. Please email a letter from your dean indicating your student status to


All registration fees may be paid by credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express), or by cheque (payable to “Golden Planners Inc.”). To be eligible for the early bird fee, payment must be received no later than September 25, 2019, 11:59 pm, EST. Registrations are not confirmed until payment in full is received. Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Any bank charges incurred (including any credit card charge backs for challenged registrations) must be paid by the sender and not Golden Planners Inc. 

Online registration closes on Saturday, November 23, 2019, 11:59 pm EST.


Golden Planners Inc. will send via e-mail a confirmation of conference registration and acknowledgement of payment once full payment has been received and processed. 

Online registrations with credit card payments are processed and confirmed immediately by e mail. 

Cancellations, Substitutions and Non-Transferability

Cancellations are permitted until October 25, 2019, and refund of the registration fee less a 25% administrative fee will be sent. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Golden Planners Inc. via No refunds will be provided to registrants wishing to cancel after October 25, 2019. 

Please note that substitutions from the same organization are permitted until November 14, 2019, and must be submitted in writing. After November 14, all registrations are considered non-transferable.
