CCSA’s Issues of Substance Conference

Registration

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  The early-bird registration deadline for CCSA’s Issues of Substance conference has been extended by two weeks. The deadline is now Friday, Sept. 29, 11:59 p.m., EDT. 

How to Register 

Individuals can register for our Issues of Substance 2023 conference through the CCSA registration portal beginning Tues. Apr. 4, 2023. 

Early Bird Registration fees

Individuals registered and paid online by Fri., Sept. 15, 2023 at 11:59 EDT

  • Early Bird Registration: $1,050
  • Early Bird Student Registration: $450 

Regular Registration fees 

Individuals registered and paid online between Sat., Sept. 16 and Mon., Nov. 13 or in-person beginning Sun., Nov. 19.

  • Regular Registration: $1,150
  • Regular Student Registration: $550

All registrants — except for exhibit display staff — are entitled to: 

  • Attend all sessions
  • Three continental breakfasts, two lunches and break refreshments

Student Registration

To qualify for the student rate, students must provide proof of full-time registration as an undergraduate, masters or doctoral student at a Canadian post-secondary institution in a program related to substance use, addiction or behavioural addictions. Please upload a photo of your student card displaying the current year at the time of registration.

Registration for Conference Presenters 

Oral, workshop and poster presenters need to complete their registration and pay registration fees by Fri., June 9, 2023, to secure their spot in the program. Presenters can register for the conference through the CCSA registration portal.

Privacy Policy

CCSA is working with Golden Planners Inc. (GPI) as the professional conference organizers for CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2023 conference.

To hold CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2023 conference, CCSA and GPI collect contact information about registrants through the conference registration forms.

Among other things, the achievement of the conference’s objectives involves communicating with and determining the needs of registrants, processing payment relating to attendance at events or event-related services and products, and may include arranging and confirming hotel reservations.

Completion and submission of the registration form to CCSA or GPI provides your consent to CCSA and GPI to collect personal information associated with your registration to communicate with you, process your conference registration and make any arrangements with third-party service providers (agents) pertaining to your participation at the 2023 conference (including the provision of this personal information necessary to complete your registration or any aspect of your participation).

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (BDPR) (Regulation EU 2016/679), if you are an individual protected by the GDPR, you may have certain rights as a data subject. To request information about or avail yourself of those rights, please send an email to info@goldenplanners.ca with "GDPR Request" in the subject line. In the email, please describe with specificity the GDPR right you are requesting help with. Please note. more information may be needed before a request can be started. GPI reserves the right to charge a fee for certain requests. Upon GPI’s completion of its review, you will be notified if your request has been granted or denied, or if exemptions apply.

Data collected through X-CD Technologies Inc. is stored on servers located in the United States. Information is retained and used only for purposes related to CCSA Issues of Substance conference(s). This can include abstract submissions, conference registration, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities, and promotional efforts related to these activities.
