Mary Walsh Announced as Keynote Speaker for CCSA’s Issues of Substance Conference

CCSA, along with our national conference partner, the Mental Health Commission of Canada, is pleased to announce that Canadian actor, comedienne, writer and mental health advocate, Mary Walsh,  will be a keynote speaker at CCSA’s Issues of Substance conference in November. 

Walsh, co-creator of CBC’s wildly popular news satire, This Hour has 22 Minutes,  will speak during the morning plenary session on Tuesday November 26, 2019,. at the Westin Ottawa Hotel. She starred in the comedy program for over decade. Her popular character Marg Delahunty became famous for buttonholing politicians and submitting them to satirical interviews.

Walsh is a longstanding advocate for mental health and addiction awareness. She is also an active supporter of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health in Ottawa. The title of her presentation is “Enabling: A Mother's Dilemma.”.
