Information for Panel and Workshop Presenters
Thank you for agreeing to present at CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 conference taking place virtually November 23–25, 2021.
All concurrent sessions are 60 minutes in duration. Please refer to the information sent to you to confirm the format of your presentation, which will be one of the following two formats:
- 60-minute oral panel presentation
- 60-minute interactive workshop
Declaration of Conflicts of Interest and Funders
Presenters are required to disclose any real or potential conflicts of interest by including a slide at the beginning of their presentation or workshop that discloses any conflict of interest and explains how they will address this conflict in their presentation or workshop. Presenters are also required to disclose the funder for the work on which they are presenting.
Presenters are asked to include their email address and other contact information in their presentation slides so that conference delegates know how to contact them to request copies of their presentation. CCSA will be posting the videos of the presentations as part of a digital library on the conference website for 30 calendar days after the conference.
Presentation Key Messages
For each panel or workshop presentation, we are asking you to prepare a separate document with three key messages or take-aways from your presentation. These key messages will be integrated into a conference report that will be publicly released after the conference.
Meeting Workshop Objectives
Please ensure that the learning objectives you previously identified in your abstract are achieved by the end of the workshop. Workshops, by their very nature, are designed to engage participants in both thinking and doing. Please ensure that participants in your workshop have time to practice, explore and discuss, as appropriate, the objectives so they are better equipped to implement their learning when they are back at their place of work.
Please be ready to submit your PowerPoint presentation and key messages by November 12, 2021. Closer to the deadline, CCSA will email you a link to your submission for each presentation for which you are the primary presenter.
The event platform that has been selected for Issues of Substance 2021 is Chime Live, a highly interactive live video streaming platform, specifically designed for virtual events. The conference will incorporate a mix of both live and pre-recorded presentations.
All panel and workshop presentations will be live.
Two weeks before the conference begins, you will receive information about how to access your session and other housekeeping items related to how your session will unfold.
The final CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 conference program will be available on the Issues of Substance website by October. We encourage you to bookmark this page and consult it on a regular basis for program updates.
We look forward to your presentation at CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021!
