Dave-Erik Drugge graduated in 2009 from MacEwan University's school of social work. He spent several years working as a registered social worker in kinship, foster care and children community services in Edmonton before moving to British Columbia to be near his family. He currently works as a recovery advocate with Vancouver Junction Community Centre. He is passionate about people receiving the opportunity to find wellness from substance use. He has lost people he cares about to drugs and alcohol. He is also someone with lived and living experience with addiction and feels honoured to share his experience with someone if it gives them hope or strength. He has ancestry and membership with Driftpile Cree Nation in Treaty 8 territory in Alberta, cheers for the Seattle Seahawks and believes in the power of community.
